Decorative tray 33×14 cm

Hand painted decorative tray Raphaelesque style with small ornaments on a blue background.

At the center an ancient symbol: the pelican, a symbol of self-denial with which children are loved. In ancient times it was believed that the pelican tore its chest to feed its little ones – for this reason it is considered a symbol of generosity – while in reality it hits the chest with its beak to stimulate regurgitation to give it to the little ones.

Dimensions of the Raphaelesque tray: 33 x 14 cm – height 4 cm.
