Apothecary jar 25.5 cm Cinnamon

Apothecary jar hand painted with Garofano (carnation) decoration and “Cannella” (cinnamon) written in the cartouche.

The decoration in Garofano, of oriental inspiration, sees a carnation flower very different from its real equivalent in the middle of a blue and green garden. It is the most famous and widespread decoration of Faentine ceramics.

Cinnamon is an aphrodisiac plant with anti-inflammatory, curative, antioxidant and digestive properties, also used in the preparation of biscuits and cakes.

Size of the pharmacy jar for cinnamon: height 25.5 cm, maximum width 10 cm.
